The BACON ALARM CLOCK
check. it. out.
Do I really need to go into more detailed description of this?
It's an alarm clock with a little cage/pan/grate thing hooked up to a heating element that activates when the alarm is set which, in turn, cooks bacon which you will smell and then have THE BEST MORNING EVER.
Forget waking up to obnoxious-@$$ Opie & Anthony/Mike & Mike/Fat guy and even more annoying other fat guy on your stupid old clock radio.
I'm going to let my olfactory senses start my day.
THIS IS A GREAT IDEA. MY GIRLFRIEND AND HER FAMILY WOULD LOVE THIS, HOW MUCH AND WHERE CAN I BUY IT? This seems like a cool peice of technology that my friends and I would use. I belive that every solider that comes home from the war should get three of theses for their friends and family
ReplyDeleteThree words. BEST INVENTION EVER. If only it could make eggs and pour orange juice. Then, it would be perfect. This is an awesome way to start the morning. I absolutely hate alarms and actually make it a point to wake up before the alarm and shut it off before it goes off. With this, I think I'll just wait. BTW, same question that Ross had: where can I get this and for how much? Please tell us.
ReplyDeleteTHis is hilarious. I actuaslly came across this once before i dont know how i came across this website that was for the bacon of the month club. It was hilarious and this alarm clock was on there. I find this hilarious. Bacon is a good smell to wake up to lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty funny! The only time i really smell bacon is on christmas and Easter morning. I'd rather stick to these 2 holidays. I couln't imagine smelling bacon as soon as I wake up. I'd rather a fresh scent like laundry!
ReplyDeleteThis is really funny and a little weird! I like how its shaped like a pig. Very good idea. It would be cool if they came out with different scents, not everyone would want to wake up to the smell of bacon!
ReplyDeleteInteresting concept. Who needs mom to make you breakfast when you can rise and shine to the mouth watering aroma of bacon—eggs still need to be cooked the old fashioned way, so maybe mom didn’t become obsolete after all. I am a little concerned about the safety issues of this new fangled alarm clock; however, it sure is a good idea, especially for those who don’t know how to cook.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best idea, EVER! I know I have crappy mornings, and am completely miserable when I wake up to annoying alarm clocks. On the other hand, When someone in my family is making breakfast, I wake up happy to the smell of the delicious food! Is it edible? that would be even better! Breakfast in bed!
ReplyDeletenice. i would definatly be able to get up in the morning - if i liked bacon that much. I dont think the problem is cant wake up i think it is dont want to wake up.
ReplyDeleteWow, my nephew would love this! It would definitely wake people up, if they like bacon. There is a down side to this, while not having to wake up to Fat guy (or whomever) on the radio, you, yourself will be getting fat eating bacon every morning. And heart disease, I don't think I need to say more than that. But, what an easy way to make bacon. If the alarm clock is in your bedroom, then your room will constantly smell.
ReplyDeleteAssuming the heating element does torch you, this is pretty cool. Most technological “advances” like Twitter and such are in my opinion utterly stupid. This alarm clock however is pretty darn cool! Thanks for finding it. While I personally don’t eat bacon (nothing against it, I just don’t like the taste) nor enjoy the smell of it this is still pretty AWESOME!!!! I especially like the pig design. I think I would like to wake up to cookies baking...can that be rigged? Preston and Steve ROCK! (Who's the fat guy?)
ReplyDeleteBacon in the morning from your alarm clock is a pretty awesome idea. Whoever invented it though, should add some elements to make it cook a complete breakfast. Not sure bacon every morning is the best for your health though.
ReplyDeleteThis is crazy! I agree ith Andrew bacon every day is not really a good health choice. Maybe if it did different things for example pancakes, eggs and maybe danishes it would be ok. Also the smell of bacon everyday in my room don't think so then my closet, walls and ceiling would smell like bacon then my dog would really never leave my room. It is kind of a bit big since technology is going smaller and lighter in allot of there devices.
ReplyDelete@ Andrew
ReplyDeleteLike I said in the post headline:
I find a way to make one of these cook up cinnamon buns and i'm alllll set.
All I can think of when I see this is Pee Wee's Big Adventure and the breakfast machine he had. While I find it to be an interesting idea, it's a bit over the top on the scale of usability and realistic. I do like the smell of bacon, I don't really wanna smell it every morning when I wake.
ReplyDeleteThe cinnamon buns on the other hand...
AWESOOOME. the only thing is i like more than the normal amount of bacon & im not sure that this would be anything more thana tease to se. but this is still great
ReplyDeleteWow I thought I would never see the most useless thing ever invented.
ReplyDeleteThis is just weird and I hate bacon so I would never buy this. I think it's just a silly invention, but if it made Cunnamon buns, then I would consider buying. But seriously, who still uses alarm clocks? Almost everyone I know uses their cell phones now!
ReplyDeletethats so funny, i'd buy it just for laughs
ReplyDeleteIf this alarm clock can cook more like pancakes, waffles, etc, I would pay nicely for something like that!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a certain section in Maxim Magazine called Bacon P... where they have various things that involve Bacon such as bacon flavored dental floss cause almost every man loves bacon! I love the fact that it is a pig shaped alarm clock that cooks bacon. What a creative and artistic idea!
ReplyDeleteNow we don't have to burn our feet on the Formen grill anymore getting up to fresh smell of bacon in the morning. I want one.
ReplyDeleteFind a way to cook some eggs too and I am set for the day. I would be a bit concerned though with the bacon being out all night.
ReplyDelete@jReut
ReplyDeleteHa! Nice Michael Scott reference.
Bacon is the absolute best smell on earth and waking up to it every morning would start you off on the right foot each time!
ReplyDeletePeople are always talkin about the obesity in America. Perfect example on how most of our tech toys are making us lazier.
ReplyDeletewow... bacon to wake me up... who needs a spouse?
ReplyDeletemmmm bacccooonnn... What better feeling then waking up to the smell of bacon. Now we gotta find a spot to make the eggs in.
