Form, fit and function and the technology of our toys. This blog explores new products that combine high technology with aesthetic appeal and usability to create the products and services we want. We'll also have a look at some products that have gone through a technological metamorphasis to become high tech versions of the original and finally we'll list a few products with feature combinations that may surprise you.
I went on the website to view the cartoon, and it just goes to show you that with all the technology that is available, people still need to use their common sense. I especially feel that when my wife and daughters are texting on the phone instead of talking. In my opinion talking is just easier.
ReplyDeleteThis cartoon demonstrates, the reluctance of people who do not want to see what the future holds. We as a society are becoming more dependent on computer technology. My niece sent her mother a text while sitting in the same room. What has happened to speaking right to the person. They were in a doctors office and maybe she didn't want other to hear what she had to say, but come on now. Technology comes in all forms and we are taking advantage of all of it.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit I like the convenience of texting in some situations, but I think people really over do it. With my particular phone, I can actually waste more minutes texting, than by talking. For that reason, I don't text very often.
ReplyDeleteTexting is good at times... but some people take it to an extreme. They will have full conversations with people. Perception is everythng. Often times reading a text can be taken out of content...whereas if you had heard the person on the phone it you may not have taken it that way.
