Let Me Give You This File, Are you Packin' a Blade?

Would you like your Swiss Army knife in black or red? And what about storage capacity? We have 1GB, 2GB and 4GB models? Storage capacity!? That's right, it's here, a Swiss Army knife no geek should be without. This model also comes with an LED light and a pen along with the traditional list of gadgets like scissors, a screw driver, a bottle opener et al. This is an example of a product that ties together elements from past technology with present day cutting edge technology to form a nifty product for the modern outdoorsman.
We like the idea but in light of green consciousness, is this really somthing we "need" and will it, like the other 99% of the "stuff" we produce, wind up in a landfill somewhere? Food for thought but if you gotta have one (think twice) and go to:

  1. I think this is a great gadget and if you are going to own a portable storage device why not let it be multifunctional. Look at it from this perspective it’s a lot of stuff in one small package rather than a bunch of individual things that could get lost and then have to be repurchased. When stuff makes it to the landfill is up to the individual owner, so hang on to your stuff as long as it is functional.

  2. i actually think this is pretty cool. its not ideal for school, you'd get expelled and a`rrested for pulling that out in class. However, you won't lose your flash drive so easily or forget it at home if you always carry your pocket knife!

  3. that is quite a combo. really cool.. ideal for someone who needs all those things all the time. Instead of carrying each and every one of these items they are condensed into one!

  4. They are right it is cool, but not a big interest for me. I'm not into the picket knife thing, so I have no interest in it. What is the purpose of a pocket knife anyway? The screwdriver, however, is something I'm always looking for at work to fix a few things or open a toy that needs batteries. It doesn't look comfortable enough to use as a pen, but on the other hand, you probably only need the pen to jot something down real quick. Neat concept, though.

  5. Very cool for the computer type guy, not so use for when it comes to the typical person who buys a Swiss army knife. I personally would have no use for this, but maybe for that person who really likes computers and wants to be tough. Not sure how many offices would want there employees walking around with a knife but the concept is there.

  6. Oh boy, this cracked me up. This is a sign that times are completely changing. If someone wasnt convinced before, this has to be the changing point. A traditional swiss army knife with a usb drive attached, too funny.

  7. Interesting little gadget. It certainly looks cool, but I don't see much use for it. All those combined in one knife seems a bit excessive to me.

  8. I feel that there cross promotional methods are poor. Who would ever need these items together on a given day...that just crazy talk. Interesting enough though...it will probably sell out on an infomercial.

  9. Is it wrong that I totally want this?

  10. I think this is pretty cool. and you dont need them all everyday. They are just all useful objects to have on you at a given time, especially the flash drive. I think this is an awesome gadget. Ild like one

  11. This is not a good invention. Swiss Army knives aren't exactly permitted in a lot of areas. They are great when you are out camping, but there shouldn't be any computers there. That is, unless you are some kind of explorer doing research. The invention itself is solid and can fill a lot of needs. There is always a time where people think, "If only I had...". For everyday people, though, they are better off with their full size tools.

  14. This is a really cool gadget. I never considered buying a pocket knife once, but I can think of multiple times when it would come in handy. It's also a plus that it has a USB flash drive attached to it. I may have to consider buying this next time I see it.

  15. This little gadget is great. I know so many people who still carry this little pocket knife around with them for all kinds of things. So , to have these extra features for todays world is a neat invention. Hey why didn't I think of that??

  16. The Swiss Army Knife has come of age with the introduction of this new model that now includes GB’s of USB Flash. That is a pretty generous amount of storage and allows for easy mobility of documents and files. It is pretty cool because it includes devices that you find standard on any Swiss Army Knife, including a pen, a blade, red LED light, nail file, scissors, and screwdriver. This would be a nice addition for a geek camper.

  17. I think it's pretty neat but like a previous poster said...you would really get in trouble for bringing this to school. Especially this day in age. I thought a Swiss Army Knife was for people who camp or fish??? Why in the heck would they need a flash drive?

  18. Haha I love this. They are combining swiss army knives with computer technology. What is this world coming to?

  19. Schools in rural areas where pocket knives are more prevalent might have issues with such a device like this. However, there is a goldmine in this product if one more feature is added.

What if, there was a GPS locator on it, that was charged via USB when plugged into the computer, then activated when you removed the flash drive. The GPS locator could then be activated with a button on the device in case you got lost in the woods or something similar, and it could relay a text message to your family or authorities with your exact location!

    Lets make this happen people...
